My Insight CTS says it has version 2.3.4396

I just reconnected it to check for updates. It says I'm up to date with most current version.

My current PID's are: (full list)

Accel Pedal Position
Barometric Pressure
Battery Voltage
Corrected Vehicle Speed
Engine Coolant Temp
Engine Load
Engine Oil Temp
Engine RPM
Engine Run Time
Gear & TCL <--- this one always reads 'P'
Injector Pulse Width
Intake Air Temp
Mass Air Flow
Trans Fluid Temp
Turbo Boost

No FICM, ICP or VGT for me

How does everyone else's PID's compare?
Thanks.

Truck is early 2003 6.0L.

Piolet:

Same PIDs for me so far after updating tonight. Did not start engine. I will check tomorrow after a drive, but do not think it will change.

Seen on some other forums as well...People with 03 and 04 trucks don't seem to be getting them...05 and up,,seems to be working fine....I'd give Edge tech support a call and see what they have to say.

That's what I'd read even before this new update came out.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post10089370

I've just got my new one in the mail and was hoping the discrepincies between earlier and later trucks was worked out.

I like the product and wanted to consider one for my cummins too, but I can't find the PID capabilities of the devices listed anywhere. I even sent email to edge and haven't heard back...I wonder if that's a marketing decision on their part because the Scangauge can read more PID's than the Edge??

I'll call them on Monday.

* Plug the USB cable that came with your CS into your computer.
* Don't plug in cable into CS yet.
* Open the fusion software.
* Watch the screen. It'll tell you when to plug in your CS.
* Follow the screen prompts from there.
* It'll tell you when it's done and if your software is up to date.

I have a 2003 also. Can you post up all the PID's you can get on your device when you get a chance, please? It would be appreciated.
Edge doesn't seem to announce the PID's currently available, or what new PID's come out with the updates, so this seems to be the only way to track what we should see or may be missing^. Especially the differences between model years.
Any other owners want to post up too?

^ If the list is online and I didn't see it then my bad.

This new software is supposed to allow us to hook up fuel pressure to the Insight CTS. They need to offer an expandable port that can hook up to a fuel pressure sender - they are apparently not going to make a kit - you'll need to get the fuel pressure sender from a third party.

FICM voltage is pretty cool - nice to be able to check it without getting out of the truck.

They also have a turbo timer out - anyone going to try this?

Dan, I think you are wrong, I got this email from Edge on Mar 10th :

Gerry,

We are in the final stages of testing for the pressure sensor. We hope to have these available to ship within the next month or so. You will receive an email when these become ready to ship.

Let me know if I can assist you with anything else.

Not sure if I'll try the turbo timer.

My initial fire for this product has cooled a bit. I still like all it does, but I have an older model truck, and my own experience and from what I'm reading on forums it doesn't read as many parameters on older model trucks. So I don't want to buy something that may not work on my truck.

I also bought the EGT expandable probe so I could add the much talked about fuel pressure probe - which was to have come out a while ago ... then one of our members got an email saying it would be out in 4- 6 weeks ... now they're dropping it and we have to buy third party . Not good. doesn't give a warm fuzzy feeling.

I asked through their website what I should expect to see for PID's for my truck, and what I should expect to see for my dodge cause I may consider buying a second, and I haven't heard anything back. It's a cool product but I'm not a cheerleader yet.

I've run a few starts and shut downs to be sure, and I am getting the same PIDs Piolet posted plus egt (eas). It is my understanding that these instruments can only read what our computers are monitoring. Therefore, the 64 dollar question is what our computers are actually monitoring. If our computers are monitoring the PIDs the newer trucks (05+) are seeing, then we should have them also.

I've asked for a list also in the past, and have had no reply. I'm with Piolet, haven't joined the cheerleading section quite yet.

I am not going to try the turbo timer. Being old school, I can sit in the truck a little longer until the egt goes down to 325 and save some $.
