'04 Edge trans cooler??
Do these have a factory installed cooler that looks like an aftermarket install where it is separate? do they also have a cooler in the radiator? Thanks!

Might be helpful to know which engine & drivetrain & any special package the vehicle has.
A quick inspection of the tranny fluid lines into & out of the radiator will determine if it has an external tranny cooler. For instance, my 99 4.0L 4dr SC 4X2, with the 5spd 5r55E auto tranny, was ordered with the factory tow package, so it came with an external aux tranny cooler. The hot tranny fluid is first routed through the cold side of the radiator, then to & through the aux tranny cooler, located down low, in front of the A/C condensor, (along with the P/S cooler, so don't confuse the two on your inspection).

In 99, a frame mounted hitch wasn't included in the tow package, it was a seperaste option, but heavier shocks, springs(payload pkg), tranny cooler & alternator so said the Dealer, were in the tow package.
So it not having a hitch, might not be an indication of no tow package, unless Ford had chosen to include a hitch in the 04 tow package option.
I chose the optional factory hitch, because I liked it's round safety chain hook up design, it came installed, was covered by the vehicle 3/36 warranty & I got it at Dealer cost, to danged good a deal to pass up!!!! lol
To further confuse things, in 99 the 4X4 auto tranny models came with a tranny cooler, so back then, just because it had a tranny cooler, didn't automatically mean it had a tow package!!!!!
