Hi Brad,
I really dislike typing.
I would gladly call you and talk over my opinion of
how to set your valve train up.

shoot me an email or message when it would be a convenient time to call.

At a pinch, could you use the original cam if you already had one in there (relatively new that is) if you put roller lifters in later, or does it come down to Arofile of lobes or B:break in /surface hardness-finish on a flat tappet cam lobe?

Well Tim,

I do understand that this discussion takes away your shop time but wouldn´t it be nice to let us participate in your opinion about valve train set up ?

Guess beside me there are some guys here who are interested and grateful to learn more.

Thanks !

There is another thing I´m not sure of. Do I have to machine the heads of my 400 when I change from the lifters who came with my Comp cam to this "spider style" lifters from TMI ?

Less there be any confusion regarding my attempt at sarcasm,
Tim-I very much appreciate your participation on this forum...perhaps i didn't articulate it very well. I have hours worth of questions...however I am mindful that your time is valuable and do not wish to take away from your work with phone calls. I am happy to correspond in any fashion that is convenient.

I was trying to be respectful of your time - I hope my attempt at humor was not misinterpreted.
