code 708
A P0708 DTC means the input from the TRS isn't right.
Likely causes:
Faulty wiring or corroded connections at the TRS or the PCM
Faulty TRS
Faulty PCM
Start by disconnecting the battery negative terminal. Remove and clean the connectors at both the PCM and the TRS. Reconnect and retest.
If the problem comes back, try a new TRS.

Thanks for the reply. Since the problem has worsened now it only has 1st gear and has two more codes 750 & 755. Both relate to shift solenoid A & B malfunction. What is the TRS you talk about? Is this the module with a plug at the shift linkage on the side of the tranny? I did find a loose connection there, the tab is broke that keeps this plug in place. Made sure connection was good but problem still there. I am leaning toward electrical issue possible bad module or wiring, please not wiring.
Well to update everyone on the 708 code. Yes I did put a new transmission range tensor (TRS), aka neutral safety switch. This did take care of the 708 code. I still have other issues but the 708 has been an issue on and off for 6 or so months.
