Need a Holley 847 Carb
I've got my 49 F1 226 I6 to start, but my carb is junk. It has a crack by the boss for the choke linkage and leaks bad, I have been searching for one but can't find one.
Can I convert it to a 2bbl? Or maybe some one has one laying around they would part with.
Thanks
Randy

I believe ArmyFord had a post that showed a salvage yard with some older Fords, they may have one. He is from the Colorado Springs area so you might try PM ing him for some information. Here is one of his threads showing a couple pictures of the yard.

Thanks 79JeepStang
I'll try Army and see what happens.
I see in your profile that you have a 66 Stang also.
I'm almost finished with the resto of my 66, this year will be the 40th anniversary of my ownership. The past 5 years I finally had the funds and time to get her back on the road, basically I have to do the interior and then it's cruise time.

Crazydog, glad to hear your Mustang is nearing completion. I totally restored mine about 10 yrs ago (it was originally going to be a parts car). I love driving it, just don't do it enough. That is quite something owning it for 40 yrs, my father has had his for 35 now. I can remember going with my brother looking for a Mustang back in 73, he looked at a 66 289 convertible for 800 dollars. Did not buy it because the battery was dead..... ended up with a 68. Anyway I bet if you could find a Autolite 1100 (off 6 cyl Ford early to mid 60's) it would work, it seems to fit the 215.

Where are you finding new 1904s? I'm curious, because when I needed two for my 215, I had to get them rebuilt.

$118 +core. Look up '56 Ford F100 w/223...
I am going to try one on my '62 I think...all of the ones I have, the fuel bowls are warped and they leak.
Edit, these don't have the glass bowls, but look the same otherwise
