Not to put words into rouge_wulf's mouth, but I believe what he was saying was that if you have the king pin type suspension, you might consider Moog cc820 coil springs rather than cc822. The cc820 springs are a bit shorter than the cc822's and therefore should not adversely effect your wheel camber as much. It's true they also won't lift your front end as much, but how much is enough? It's a trade off. Here are specs for both, which I copied from somewhere on this forum:

Spring # CC822
Inside Diameter 4.000
Bar Diameter 0.718
Install Height 13.00

Load rate (lbs) 1230
Spring Rate (Lbs/in.) 366
Free Height
16.38
End Type pigtail ends

Spring # CC820
Inside Diameter 4.000
Bar Diameter 0.718
Install Height
12.13
Load rate (lbs) 1428
Spring Rate (Lbs/in.) 366
Free Height 16.19
End Type pigtail ends

My '86 2WD has the adjustable camber bushing -type suspension. The cc822's jacked my front end up too much (higher than rear), and my wheels became around 3 degrees out of camber alignment. This is *just* fixable with the right aftermarket bushings. I returned the 822's and am putting 820's in instead.
I couldn't have said it any better....

Yes, it's very probable that your current springs are weakened, they are 30 years old...
The CC820 springs should not adversly affect the camber, yet return the truck to it's original ride hieght, +/- ~1/2".

I *should* have returned the CC822 and swapped for CC820's 3 years ago. The 822 springs are just too much for my truck, and I strongly suspect they would be for yours as well. I have a 300, which is a bit heavier than a 302, and it hangs further out the front. Still not enough to need the 822's.
I will most likely swap in a set of 820's, and stash the 822's for my future plan. The 6.9L swap has been planned for many years, just waiting till the 300 is worn out. At the rate it's going, I may die before the 300 does.......

Okay so im getting ready to order my cc820's.

But i read in another post that they used some 1 degree camber bushings to keep the truck aligned??? Is this what i need?

Figured id order them when i order my springs.

Camber bushings are for ball joints, you have king pins.
