Hello Guys/Gals...What would happen if I had a muffler shop turn my stock exhaust into a true dual exhaust system with 2 magnaflow mufflers on my 6.9L N/A diesel?
2 inch exhaust on any v8 diesel or not does no good for anyone. It chokes it out and if sound is what your after....well 2inch just isn't gonna cut it.Me personally I would go 2.5 inch to the mufflers and run 3 inch tailpipes.
Costly is what the local muffler shop near me said. I don't know if it's the same where you live, but here I was basically told, to get the mufflers yourself and let them do the rest.
With me supplying my own mufflers and him running 2.5 in pipes to 3in tails it was 250.It's also the same price no matter the size pipe big or small.
Is that from the exhaust manifolds all the way to the back?
Because I'm tight on cash, would it be ok to get two glass packs, and run the exhaust straight off each side with it's own glass pack with the cat out of the picture?
This truck is loud as it is now but, would it be "get a ticket" loud?
