I would say buy a new sensor and make your own new tube with some brake line and a flaring tool and use the old fittings

So I have been looking around at different places online and the EBP tube is only available if I search under a 2001-2003 7.3l, anyone have any idea why? I am assuming that it would be the same as my 99.5, correct?

This is where I'm looking now, but I could only find the part under the 2001 and newer model years. Did you find yours under the 99 category?

If I can get one for 22 buck online, it would be cheaper than buying the tube, fittings, and a flaring tool...but I wish I knew someone with a shop and some extra parts, it really would be so quick and easy

people do it...even i did, but i was told 1st hand by a tuner...they need that sensor to fueling parameters...also i have read that jody from dp also says his tunes need the input. i just replaced my tube and sensor...i read a lot and ended up just sucking it up and buying the tube and sensor. if i do it again...ill make the tube. good luck

Reuse the fittings, and you can rent flaring tools from auto zone or oriellys and you get all of your money back when you return it. And a bender for the brake line too. But 22 bucks is probably a good deal save alot of time, I was just recommending that if you didnt have time to wait

Yea, this was the first I have heard of just plugging it so I though it was a joke based on all the info I have read about how important it is to have functioning properly and the improvement in mpg's people are reporting. Didn't mean to offend.
Chris, I found the tube on Rockauto for $22 but it is only listed as compatible for a 2001-2003, the only thing keeping me from buying it is that it doesn't show up under my '99 model year, opinions? The motorcraft sensor from Rockauto is only $76 too, so depending on what people think I might just go this route.
Why would the part not be listed on the '99 and '00s?
