I'm newbbie here and to the excursion, I don;t have one yet but hopefully by this weekend. I've been looking for a SUV or truck for almost 6 months now but haven;t found one that I like and is the right price. I almost bought a few different vehicles but they fellow through for various reasons. Well in my searching I happened across a 2000 Excursion and really liked it, unfortuely the A/C wasn't working and it had 180k miles so i didn;t buy it. Now for the one I'm looking at: its a 2000 Limited V10 w 109k.... its not perfect but appears to be in good working condition. I know its tough to judge not in person but what do you guys think, link is below... I have him down to 5,900.
thanks for the speedy replies... yes I have driven it, and the front end feels fine, probably needs an alignment. He never got one when he put on the tires. They are oversized and make little noise at higher speeds, but nothing bad... I had oversized tires on an older truck and they made much more noise and had a terrible ride, the EX wasn't that bad at all, and he is giving my the tires he had on previously which he says are in good condition. Are there know issues with the front end?
No engine mods.... but the rear break light is out, not a big deal really but I just thought of it.
You don't sound to sure of it. For the price it looks like a good find. If your not sure about it, you could take it over to Ford for a quick look. They will charge you $94 for an hour.
