Running board END CAP

Running board END CAP
I have a 2010 F250 with ford chrome running boards. I lost one of the plastic end caps from the running boards. Ford tells me they make the running board BUT they do not sell the end cap as a seperate part. They want me to pay $484.00 for a running board assembly. I am looking for someone who might have knowledge as to where I might find a single end cap. I have not checked the junk yards yet but that may be my only option since ford does NOT want to help me. Advise anyone?

Did you find a solution for your missing end cap? I have the same problem, and initially have received the same answer from Ford.....was wondering if you were able to locate one. If so, would you share the info please? Thanks so much.

I don't know about the newest running boards but the older one, '99 - '07 were not made by Ford but by other companies. Westin was one of the companies. Ionic might be another. You might be able to contact the actual manufacture to get the end cap.
