The line off the radiator return goes to the Fordomatic tranny oil cooler :-). This truck aint no concours because I like drivin her too much. I just like everything as nice as is reasonable. Critical eyes are really helpful and, fun.
Just make everything neat and clean.....maybe some chrome acorn nut covers? Not much improving you can do to a flatty. They look neat in any form.......
Whoa, Tinman! What Maguires product makes heads look like that?
Killin me, man. I may have to dump mine for one that begs me to drive it and scares little kids, like yours...
My "adorable" little 53 is cute but the front wheels have the same mileage as the rears...What's the point in that?
That engine is in a '34 Ford truck that I restored a few years ago. Totally bone stock, just detailed to make it pretty. The heads are NOS items.....sure is nice working with parts that are new and clean!
Tinman. What color is that motor?
I'm not sure what color mine is. When I look at ford colors for 53 I see orange or bronze which I know is wrong. But, I thought this blue/green was correct.?...I've heard the duplicolor detroit diesel alpine green is a good color. Is this a quality paint, though??

Early 30's Ford V8 green.....I got it from MAC's I think. I'm not sure what color is correct for '53, my '52 motor I painted dark blue. When you paint it, remove or mask off the parts you don't want painted. The engine also needs to be really clean so the paint will stick....
The fan, generator, starter, etc were gloss black originally I think.
