As the title implies, I want to see some truck colors. In my opinion, and only my opinion, meadow green, and red, are the two best looking colors for the 53-55 F-Series. I'm not as convinced about meadow green on the '56, but red, yellow, and a light blue, in my opinion, lay best on the '56. For the 48-52, I like yellow, red, black, and blue, even a light "dove" gray looks good on them. These are my opinions, and based on a stock looking truck. I am interested in what many of you like in the way of exterior colors, and would like to see some photos.
For the '54 I'm restoring, we chose the original meadow green:
It doesn't look too bad on your '56. I guess, for me, the rectangular "A" pillar seems like it should have a slightly less docile color. It does, however, look good in stock trim. The paint on the '54, is single stage acrylic urethane from TCP Global.
Meadow green was what my panel was originally and I think it looks good on 53-56 stock originals or modified. I don't want to say just yet what I plan to paint my panel as it kind of changes every other day.lol. I plan on going to the paint shop blind folded and pick a colour. wmjoe that cab looks like it just came off the assembly line, nice job.
Those do look good. The right kind of silver would look good, with the right amount of contrasting colors to offset it. The white looks good on the M-100. I guess, after seeing some of the pictures, so far, the right amount of contrast, and highlights do make a big difference with some of the color choices.
Ok I clicked on Earl's World Paint code link and I didnt see a color code for White.
My F1 was some kind of white at some point and Eventually I will paint my truck this color again.
Does anybody have the color code or name???
I love silver in an F1 and a baby blue on all f1-f100 trucks.
here is the color i went with on my custom 51 but i like the green on my stock 51. I think blue and silver looks good on the f100.

I like Meadow Green for obvious reasons, but if my truck was another color originally I would probably like that better! I also think the sheridan blue (dark blue) looks good on 53-55 trucks. I think Ford liked red. It seems they used red on a lot of their ads and pics in the Ford Clues magazines....
Pretty color. That light"dove" grey you mention was actually a factory color for 1953 called "Wood Smoke Grey." Hence my handle. They will not let me post a picture. Just have to see Smokey on my personal stuff.
