New member here. Going to be starting a project truck soon. Been a Ford truck fan all my life. In college my dad loaned me his stepside '79 and I fell in love with it (this would have been about '91). It had a straight six and I didn't know anything about maintenance then and never put oil in it...wouldn't quit.
My daily driver is a 2002 F-150 bought in FL when my 2004 F-150 blew up...long story but I'll never buy another 5.4L. This 2002 is a bare-bones work truck but i've put almost 60,000 miles on it in a little over 2 years and it runs like a champ.
My other truck is a 1971 Kaiser-Jeep M35A2. Gotta have something to wrench on!
Project truck in the works, haven't bought anything yet but the wish list is:
1978-1988
crew cab
4x4
300 ci straight 6
manual transmission
Any input appreciated. Hope to learn a lot here. Thanks!
