Drivability Issues updated

I have a 91 f250 7.3 diesel turbo. This only happens once it gets hot. between 35 and 55 it seems as if i have lost fuel or the trans is shifting up and down at light throttle no load once i give it some pedal she picks right up and takes off and the problem goes away. Any ideas?

1991, chances are that's the E4OD.

Does your tach (RPM gauge) and speedo work correctly?

That transmission needs those in order to work correctly.

The speedo to my knowledge works correctly. The tach only works when i begin accelerating other than that it remains on zero but it does work. It just recently like that last couple days i used the block heater thats the only thing that changed other thhan that i let it set and warm up.

the E4OD needs the Tachometer because that is how it shifts. It listens to the Tach for when to shift......which is why I prefer a Manual transmission XD.

I just pulled codes today got a code 23 got that in both KOEO and KOER. Then replaced it Now the code still remains in the KOER but not while it is off? I'm still getting the shifting problem
