K&N filter problem
I find it hard to believe that K&N has never seen anything like that. 90% of the K&N filters I see have at least one or two spots on them like that where they rub something. I guess it doesn't matter, you got a new fitler out of it. It will probably end up the same way. I think (don't remember for sure) there is a stiffener that runs across the middle of the airbox lid that could rub like that. I had my filter out yesterday, but didn't look up in the lid. Anybody look in their airbox lid recently?

K&N filter problem
The spots that are on my filter are on the bottom of the filter. The top shows no damage, so it couln't be the lid causing the problem. My crankcase vent that enters underneath the filter is kinda loose in there. Is it supposed to fit tight??? Is there supposed to be some sort of retainer in there? I would think that it should be tight.
