I have an intake manifold with DOAE-9425-L cast on it. It also has a 4 above that and off to the right of that it says 0G2. Any idea what year 351C this is. My guess is 1970.

D is the decade adn 0 specific year and AE is the type vehicle it was in. 9425 is part#. -L represents the different mods to intake from factory from original design. Don't have my ford book with me to give more info catch you later.
It is from a car and not a truck, that's all that can be discerned.
D = decade.... C = 1960s, D = 1970s, E=1980s, etc.
0 = year in decade
The next two digits are where I'm a bit foggy.....
I think A is automobiles and T is trucks.
E is an engine component.
The above 4 digits represent the series or the class or the component family.
9425 is the group number
L is the revision indicator, first one being A
0G2 is the date code the item was cast at a foundry...
0 = 1970
G = 7th month = July
2 = date in month specified prior
All of the above is an Engineering number and is NOT a part number.
For your particular intake, I believe it was used on 70/71 car engines.
Yeah I know it's a car intake and I know the casting number is not the part number. I don't think anyone said different. Anyway, thanks for your input. I know this is a trucks site and I'm asking about a car part but I'm not going to search for a car site and create an account so I can ask 1 question and never log on again. besides, I figured since the 351C was listed as an engine in this category(even though it was never used in a truck) that it would be ok to ask questions about it.
