What he's talking about is useing the scan tool to see what the PCM see

if your OD light was/is flashing then you should have a code

What scan tool did you put hook to it not all will read our trucks

the od light was never flashing. one of my buddies at the ford dealer plugged in the scanner he is a diesel mechanic there so i am assuming he used the correct scanner
