Side mirror parts
I have a 2006 F-150 FX4 and about a year ago the passenger side mirror cracked. I called a local glass place and they were able to swap it out for under $30. well about a month ago while parked on a side street I didn't fold it in and it got shattered and fell out the housing. I went to the same place and they said there is a plastic bracket that the mirror glues onto to attach into the housing and without it they cannot replace the glass. I've searched all over trying to order this because I need it fixed to get a new brake tag and a whole new assembly is about $150... Any suggestions out there?? I really don't want to spend so much on what should only be about $50-60 to fix.

You can buy replacement glass for outside mirrors from Ford or several aftermarket sites. I have purchased replacement mirrors for other cars from Ford and they have all come with the plastic piece that snaps into the housing already attached.
