Well, I didn't have easy access to a Porta Power, so I used the scissor jack from the wifey's mini van, seemed to work ok. The only real problem I had was that the first bend off the turbo outlet seems to be a little too tight, so it was rubbing on the up-pipe off the passenger side. I pushed and shoved and pulled on that monkey all day today and finally got enough clearance (hopefully). I couldn't imagine a 3.5 or 4" in there without a body lift. Incedently, I've convinced my wife I need to put one on.
Just FYI, I have a 3" body lift on mine. There's more room for a downpipe, but still tight around the transmission cooler lines.
I'm actually going to be removing my body lift soon. Better looking stance, but it just doesn't look right. Plus I get worried about bolts sheering when I haul heavy loads in the bed.
Well, I do use my truck for hauling so I suppose I should be concerned with that as well, how common is that I wonder? As for clearance, I have a ZF5 so no cooler lines, just a giant freakin' cast iron bell housing that gets in the way as well.
I just really worry about mine sometimes. Plus higher center of gravity. And you have to cut out the bottom of the frame rail in front to relocate the bumper, and I havn't figured out a way to make the rear bumper look good. Still a gap there.
I'm going to be hauling my dad's old in-bed camper that he gave me this summer and that thing is HEAVY. So in short, I wouldn't mind having the body lift on a truck I just used for offroad use for tire clearance, but not for a daily driver or hauler.

I had the ZF off to replace the clutch, but I ended up having to take the DP back off to get the tranny back on today. In order to get that stupid down pipe past the little fin that sticks out, I had to unbolt the two bolts which hold the tranny to the cross member and slide it over a little bit. I had the driveshaft still off, but it made the DP drop right in.
I know you got yours on already, just sharing for anyone else
Well damn, Dizzy, where was that little jewell of info before I installed?? j/k Actually, after I bent the firewall in I could get the top piece of the DP in and out pretty easily going from the top down
I probably spend 1 to 1.5 hrs taking mine out. I think I could have did it with one cut but my first cut was to far back or down the pipe. The worst part was when the Sawall blade would stick and the saw it self would start moving, haha. Man I was sore the next day and I only sustained 3 minor wounds on my hands.
My new dp went in ok but took three attempt's to get it where I was satisfied with its location. Mine is a two piece unit so that helps and I have at least an 1.5" clearance by the trany lines. My first attempt I got it all together only to notice that the down pipe was hitting the transmission. My second attempt had the db hitting the cross over pipe. I guess that is where the saying comes from.. "Third times the charm". Although I think it is a little close to the firewall but it is not hitting.
