When I bought my truck ('01 7.3 cc srw 4x4) 6 years ago I didn't really pay too much attention to things like an after market exhaust. My truck has a custom 3" exhaust which is functioning perfectly.
I am ever so slowly upgrading my truck for pulling my cab over camper and boat, making mechanical upgrades as things start to fail and it's also my daily driver.
I plan to eventually put a DP Tuner in this truck for improved performance and fuel economy. But i will put guages in before I do that.
Is there enough of an advantage to having a 4" turbo back exhaust instead of my existing 3" system?
I know that the 4" will provide lower egt's and slightly improved fuel economy over stock but will the expense of installing a 4" MBRP system be realized in improved drivability and such?

Thanks in advance for everyone's responses.
Are you positive you have a full blown 3" exhaust?
Bone stock it comes with a 3" downpipe out to a 3 1/2" exhaust the rest of the way.
