Tips on installing mirror w/microphone

i have a 2009 nav working in my 07 expedition

My current mirror has just auto dimming and i think 10 pin connection in the back

what other wiring would i need for the mirror, or should the nav recognize my mirror has a mic after the installation of the mirror

backup now........You cant just tell us that you have a sync nav in your 07 without telling us how!

its just plug and play if you got the wiring harness in your vehicle, the only thing i didnt install is the steering wheel control and the mirror w/mic...most importantly i want to learn how to replace a 7-pin mirror with a 10-pin mirror, if you or any other know how that would be awesome

The 2007 Expedition can't use SYNC because Ford changed the way the radio is wired. It simply isn't plug play because 2008 and higher uses CANBUS.

is there a wiring diagram out there of 7-pin mirror thats all i am looking for...i am looking to replace it with a 10 pin

I guess what we are trying to ask is for details on your install of SYNC into an 07 Expedition so the rest of us that want factory bluetooth in our older trucks can give it a try. I can't help you regarding the mirror because I do not know, but a little more details and any modifications you made to get a SYNC system working in your 07 would be mighty nice of you. It may end up getting other folks working the same project and get you the answer you are looking for. Users helping Users hence the name of the forum - Ford Truck Enthusiasts! I can tell you that there are other posts regarding the installation of a back camera with Ford factory rearview mirror and I think a lot of discussion over wiring.
