You're right but we weren't stupid enough to wave the red flag in front of the bull.

Not my thing either but check out youtube for anything like "ford 6.0 diesel smoke" and prepare to be shocked. 10.sumthin in the 1/4 mile and lots of smoke on the line. Smokin in the driveway, smokin on the road. Apparently, there are smoke competetions even. Just sayin.........

I'll comment on whatever I want. This is a public forum. I may be an "old timer" but I still like to have fun. I've just learned to do it responsibly. It's attitudes like yours that cause cancellation of a huge diesel drag racing event in Bowling Green, Ky. a couple of years ago that SEVERLY inconvenienced several THOUSAND people, some of which had driven from the west coast to participate in and attend. And lets don't mention (again) how seriously it affects EVERYONE that drives a diesel truck.

I should have just used the "M" word and got a vacation but John would have had to delete it. I can't believe I just wasted that much bandwidth but geez that crap irks me.

Try asking your question here: 6.0 Powerstroke - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions.

If you really want smoke, just buy a tuner, get some custom tunes and you will be fine.

Doing that turbo thing will usually never do anything to a stock truck.

Enjoy!

LMFAO!!

Damn that's the funniest thing ever. Oh, the fun I could have if I was still with my previous employer. Stick one on a dyno engine and watch everyone freak out and hit the E-stop. lol.

hell im 18 and dont need to do it. like tyler and i said buy a tuner and you will be just fine. to answer your question is gums up the turbo to where the vanes wont work anymore and messes up the sensor on the turbo also causing that to fail and then cloggs up the epb tube and then your really having fun when your friends are laughing because your under the hood fixing your turbo and cleaning things because you wanted to blow smoke. honestly a truck that is blowing smoke doesnt always = power is usually means poorly tuned. just buy a tuner and it will blow plenty for whatever you need to blow smoke for
