Bogging and high idle.
My truck has always been very responsive and powerful. She really wants to go when you give it some gas. Until a few weeks ago pulling out from a red light my truck almost died from bogging down. Just didn't want to go at all in any gear until my rpm got up to around 3000. It did this for the next couple miles but then got quite a bit better. But it still bogs down some in the low rpms and just takes a bit to get going. For example if i'm going at a steady speed in 3rd with rpms at 3000 and gun it, it feels as if I hit a curb and then it starts to get going. The power is just gone. All filters are good and I have kept up with all maintenance.
The high idle started a couple days ago. As far as I know it is unrelated to the bogging. When I fire up the truck it idles around 1300-1500rpm. But when driving and going thru the gears..if I bring it up above 3000 and push in the clutch to shift, rpms won't go any lower than 3000. But if I gently lift up on the gas peddle, it goes right back down to where it should. I'm not sure if I just need to WD40 some linkages or if its more complicated than that.
Any input is appreciated. Thanks!!
