question please about parts interchanges
from what I understand, 80-86 is a generation. I have a 1980 Bronco and a good opportunity for some parts off of an 87 but worried that they will not fit. while I am most interested in the TTB 44 front end and transfer case he also has tailgate and glass and stuff.

Most everything will interchange between 80 - 96.
80 - 86, 87 - 91, & 92 - 96 are the generation gaps, but most of these are interior and front end (grille, hood, fenders) sheet metal change.
The rest is pretty much the same with various minor differences, such as ABS systems, fuel pumps for carb or EFI, etc. etc. It doesn't sound like it'll have much to do with what you're going after.

thanks guys, there is a thread a few pages back showing how the tailgate is somewhat universal but the glass is different, not sure
anyhow the whole motivation for me buying another TTB 44 is so I can rebuild it on the bench and just R&R when I'm ready. there is NO WAY in hell I will sitting on pavement, laying down on my back, leaning over....well, you get the picture. I've seen enough threads where people had hell getting the spindles off.
did I mention there is no way in hell I will even attempt to rebuild the front axle while its on the truck?
