Starting the list

Here we go. My truck has been scheduled to go in for the head gasket repairs. It is an 05

I have posted it for sale with Make offer but no interest. Especially since I have disclosed all info about the issue the trucks engine is having.

I have looked around at quite a few trucks to replace mine ,and for the money I "might" get to trade my truck in all I have found is stuff beat to death. My truck looks new still ,and I have a good idea what I have after owning it for a couple of years. So we are going to have it repaired. I am very limited on time ,space ,and equipment to tear this thing apart. Off to the shop it goes 24th of this month.

I am making the update list of what parts I need to go and get myself. I figure while the cab is in the air do as much as possible.

3 years ago the truck had a new FICM ,ICP

3,550 miles ago it had the following oil/egr coolers changed ,oil cooler screen ,cooling system flushed oil change ,and FICM flashed to newest flash.

The garage is pushing an EGR delete ,and I want a bullet proof cooler so I have to get this worked out with them. They use the black onyx gaskets too ,and I am not to sure about that from what I have read on here. ARPs are the brand stud they use.

What else???

Thanks for any input FTE

If it hasn't been done, upgrade the STC fitting, install the updated dummy plugs (and maybe also standpipes), and install the larger turbo oil drain tube.

Have you upgraded the fuel pressure regulator spring?

Install gauges also.

IMO - I would stick w/ the Ford head gaskets.

Bismic's nailed all the "weak links". I'd give them the green light while they're in there anyway.

Do you have the part number for the upgraded fuel pressure regulator spring? Thanks
