What ya got, what do ya want? I got an old Uniden Grant with upper and lower side band, peaked to 20 watts with a K40 antenna and a Roadking mike. This is what I WANT! :
Hey wiz, I still have, but haven't used it in a while, the big brother to that 2950. One of the original Galaxy Saturn Turbo's. A National NCL-2000 desktop amp, a maco V-58 ground plane, and a silver eagle.
Also have a few tube radio's I've been thinking of sending, but can't quite let go of them. These things grow on you I guess. A Johnson Viking Valiant, National NC300, National NC303, along with some test equipment are about whats left.
Used to have a TMC GPT-750, aka 'the Iron Curtain', letting go of that was a mistake. Also had the GPR-90 reciever to go along with it. Built a 3CX3000F7 amp, that got parted out over the years. Only have a couple of those tubes left along with an old RF deck.
Working on these old tube rigs used to be my preferred form of relaxation.
The last time I cracked open the box of my little emergency CB radio, all that I could hear was a bunch of teen age kids trying to talk with a southern accent and act cool.
Even with the internet I still talk to my friends on the Base mostly every night. For a base station I have a Uniden Washington and a Ranger 2995DX...For mobiles I have a Ranger 2950DX in the Pickup, a HR2510 in the Diesel Car, Magnum Delta Force in the commute car and a Titan road pro in the Better halfs truck For antennas I run wilson 1k's and wilson 5K's ...My Base antennas are the I10K, The Imax2K and I have a Skyking Tops 2 element quad Beam....for them long distant QSO's I have been talking on the radio since about 1975...My first Base satation was a RCA Cb Co-Pilot with a turner +2 mic and a starduster antenna... I could go on but then everyone would call me a bucket mouth
