On Edit: I also know of a few other top notch radio places
I have a friend that has one of those *sixteens* and let me tell ya in winter you almost don't need the heater it gives a whole new definition to the term *foot warmer*
I would like to have one, but I don't think my backseat could withstand it being under it, and I really don't want to have to give up the back of the X for cooling the thing...
I've got some kind of little box stock uniden with a cobra amplified mic. Its ok so far, but theres a broken spot in the mic cable, if you move it the wrong way, the speaker inside the radio shuts down and you get nothin out of it.
Its ok i suppose, its just laying between the seats, along with my radar detector, i'm thinking of a good place to mount them both.
Get yourself a real radio GALAXY, NORTHSTAR, PALOMAR. Get yourself a real linier PALOMAR, TEXAS STAR. DON'T fool with cobra or uniden please. You live in Toledo go all the way down I280 and get on the radio see if you can pick one of these at the truckstops.
hey, I had an idea about my radio the other day.....have any of youi ever mounted it behind your seat? in my '95 i have the middle seat that folds down and i was thinking i could mount it so the speaker faced out, and when i wanted to use it just lay that down and use it. anyone tried it? does it puit it too close to the antennaes to work well? also, anyone know any online stores that sell amps? thanks.
1Stop Electronics They carry XForce, Magnaforce, Texas Star and Palomars . Or you can get a private built Joker or Sckullcracka .....Then there are the cheap KLv amps from Italy which for the low price are not bad for a beginner.....

hey, i tried looking for those KLv Italian ampos but couldnt find anything, what site sells them? also, i was looking at the palomar elite 100....what else would i need iof i bought this? i alreayd have the basic set up, radio, coax, antenna.....anythign else i woulkd need? for 86 bucks and 100 watts it soudns pretty good to me, good sized jump from 4! anyways, thanks alot!
This is there web site KL Amps and also they handle them here for sale at HY Electronics Of course these amps are illegal for 11 meter use including cb channels Also as with most amps they have to be converted to 11 meters. Which is a pretty easy task I personally would love to have a Joker, But would settle for a Magnaforce, but due to budget cutbacks I ended up with 2 of the KL 203's, Really good bargain and can take the average radio and turn it into a big radio with the proper mic
It says a input of 1 to 5 watts into the amp but I have found that around 2 watts is the best for the KL 203's that I use. If I am leaveing something out....Please someone jump in...
