Regen while on high idle ?

A few weeks ago it was blizzarding out and damn cold. I was towing my bobcat and trailer to do snow removal. I was about 2 blocks from my destination, when I saw the "cleaning exh message". The roads were nasty and no hope of going for a drive at any kind of speed. I have the high idle mod which is set at 1200 rpm. I thought I would give it a try.
Well, it seems to have worked. I let it high idle for about 20 minutes. I didn't drive the truck for about 3 days after, then went on a 900 mile highway trip with it and never saw the message again.
So, am I right to assume that it will regen while on high idle ? Thoughts ?

I thought I had read that the exhaust treatment triggers were ignored while the truck's SEIC was triggered, however I can not find where I read this.

Edit: I found where I had read this. Not sure if it applies though. On the Body Upfitter site accessible from the ford fleet website. Bulletin Q-173-R1. It says SEIC takes priority over DPF Regeneration, but this is for 6.4's The 6.7 bulletin Q-180R1 does not make mention of this though.

I can't find that anywhere, either.
Just something I've read here.

The official response is no (so I read).
However, I can agree with you on the SEIC "idle" regen if we want to call it that. Call it unoffical but it works.

If I park and hear the DPF at work (it has some sort of turbine noise to it and it makes a clicking noise) then I know it is still attempting a regen.
I turn on the high idle (1,400 RPM) and the regen process is still running.
I have done this at least four times and these lasted anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.

Another way to tell is by feel.
At normal idle or even high idle, I can hold my hand six inches from the exhaust tips without too much issue.
When in regen, you won't get your hand anywhere near there; it's hot!
Plus it smells like something is burning.
When it is done, I can hold my hand at the exhaust tips without an issue while still in SEIC.

The ways I tell is just something I figured out over time.
I think one of the flashes changed how this works.
It didn't do this when I first purchased it.

On another note, when I first got the truck a traffic light stop would cancel the regen for several miles or 15 minutes (never timed it exactly).
Now, the regen continues once I start moving again if I am forced to stop at a light.
(Our highway's have 55 MPH zones with traffic lights.)

On my '08 I used to just stop wherever my destination was and set the parking brake, leave it in "D" and it would continue. I don't know if the 6.7 will allow this. I don't suggest this unless you are as wreckless as I am....

From what I am seeing, no need.
Turn on SEIC and let it finish.
I only have this "problem" during one of these so called SEIC regens.
(Strangely this hole appears as if it's supposed to be there.)

EDIT: It probably does this will driving during a regen but obviously I can't see it.
