Tires size?

Looking to get some new tires. Have 265/75R16 on it now. Would like to go up to a set of 285/75R16's.

Question is: will the 285's fit on my 2000 Excursion Limited 2wd without rubbing?

I also have the 03 4wd and use 285/75r16.
the look and ride are great. the only tiny rub I ever have is when I over steer. They are a nice fit. I would suggest sticking with E rating it seems to help with sway... stiffer sidewalls

I put the 285's on my 2000 2wd ex, with no complaints on rubbing. I felt the 265's did not fill the fenderwell enough. I believe the 285 are the perfect amount of rubber to fill the void, left by the 265's. After about 20k miles, the only problem i have is my MPG's have dropped down a bit. What brand of tire are you looking at?

I have 305/70's on mine. Stock everything and no rubbing at all. Makes it really look like a truck now. No problems.
