Hey amigo,

Actually I did know about the 300 being in the F-550's. The manifold was a little different but I think the rest was basically the same.

I love my 300 but I know how it feels moving my 4,000 lb truck around. I don't see how it could move 50,000 lbs around at road way speeds.

I reckon she would have to have 5.30 gears with a 2 speed rear!

At the risk of going off on a rant... With enough gearing, and enough gears, and the willingness to row through those gears, even little gas engines can do quite a lot.

They might not last forever, but they are much cheaper to replace

The 330 2V M/D FT engine uses the 352/360 FE crankshaft.

Nice Truck Dmanlyr, These old trucks can save a guy ALOT of work

Here's my old horse, 14,420 on the Bed, grossed at 24,380, I know Ive been heavier when I was hauling dirt from my Dads, but this load of 1"1/4 I paid for, and was actually scaled.

I've hauled all kinds of stuff with this truck, this Trip I brought my Wife with me, we went to Fred Meyer, got groceries, then we went back to Lawn and garden and had them Load a Pallet of Block on the Tail, after that we went accross town to the Nursery, and got 5 yards of 3 way mix, and brought it all home Got alot done in one trip:-X0

Greg - that is a good looking truck! It is suprising how much you can load on these trucks, and not have the suspension sag all that much. Perhaps Ford was somewhat conservative in there spring ratings?

Save space for whom? You, or FTE? If it's for FTE, don't worry, they have lots

Krewat, I figured for FTE. When i went to add these to my albom, I saw a file size limitation, and unfortuantly to make the writing stand out, I did scan at a fairly high res. About 4Mb a pic or so. 72Mb in all

I could post them in the thread if that would be ok, just did want to suck up the bandwidth if that was a issue. if not, I would be more than happy to post them here in this thread!

Thanks, David

Yeah, 4MB is a bit big Just post links to your photobucket pics (don't in-line them, for people with slow connections).

Great info

David, those images are all pretty small, like 100K or so.
