Coil spring spacers for 2wd

mcbayperformance.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=1700T_SERIES

I am looking at these for my 75 f250 2wd for the front coil springs. I dont like the front sitting lower the back. Would these work safely? If not, are there coil springs that would fo the same thing?

I couldn`t click onto your link, so I couldn`t see the spacers, but since the front coil springs are attached top & bottom, I`m not sure how well a spacer could be retained. What I did on my 74 F350 2wd dually was to install an Firestone airbag kit. This has 2 airbags that fit inside the front coils, and an air line kit from the bags to an easily accessed location. I put my valves under the hood, in the inner fender panel. Since I use my truck to haul my race car on the truck deck, to get the nose back level, I only need about 20 psi to accomplish this. I have had the airbag setup on my truck for about 5 years now, and it works great, and never leaks down. Plus no more dreaded premature inner tire wear with the Twin I Beams. I bought the kit from Summit Racing, and it was under $100.00.

i just typed in the site instead of clicking on it...it seems like it would work because it installs under the spring, and from what i saw, you have to remove the bottom spring retaining bolt, compress the spring, and install the spacer under the spring, then re-install the retaining bolt. I dont see why it wouldnt work. But, I have thought about lifting the front of my 2wd also, and from what im told, anytime you lift these 2wd trucks, you will need to get the traction beams bent or you will have alignment problems and uneven tire wear.

I have read that too, but I thought that putting a spacer under the spring would not throw off the geometry. I am not sure why I thought that - I guess I was thinking that it would not change the alignment issue.

I would rather put a 2" body lift in the front to level it out, but apparently there is not one available for my truck since the steering box is mounted right next to the firewall and all of the ones I have seen are for models where the steering is mounted further out - near the radiator.

Soooooooo, looking at this a bit further, I posted another thread showing the pictures of my springs and wondering if they are toast - maybe time for a replacement? If so, that might bring the ride height up a bit in front...

Those actually go on top of the spring. I found out that my truck had them when I was trying a different pair of springs to try to level it out some. You may need longer bolts for the clamp that holds the spring to the bucket, but that all depends on what size spacer you put in. I havent seen a problem with the ones I have on my truck, and it was a year or so after I had the truck that I even knew they were there.
