I asked thi a while back maybe someone new on has some info? Want to convert my super camper special which has the set back axle onto my highboy frame frame widths same 34" can axle be moved back If you can help thank you it's getting warm up here and I'm itching|
I haven't seen it done before, but I'm not sure why you can't. The axle would be moved back 7 inches 133 to 140". I'd just look at each frame and see what the differences there are. It would be pretty cool to see a 4x4 SCS
I saw one on this site once. it was a big beastly rig and cool as hell. Think it was on the "calling all super camper specials" thread, there are a ton of photos on that thread though, Anthony went a little picture crazy. iirc it was one of his photos. Anyway it can be done as Bucks77 said just takes a little fabbing
i was thinking a dark blue, but might have been black was cool though. theres also a thread on here about scale models, the guy has a custom model of a 4x4 supercab, scs. now that would be cool
Yes, very unique too, how many folks can say they have a SCS or let me clarify, a 140'' wheelbase F-350 AND its 4x4? Not many I'm guessing. I still say I saw a black or dark colored 4x4 here recently.......
better yet how bout a supercab, super camper special 4x4. Did you see the truck posted with the custom 10ft bed? wow! x2 on the dark colored one im searching for it
Been wanting to build a 4x4 scs for years. Have the truck just not the time yet. Just use the scs frame and put a Dana 60 under the front. I have a Marmon-Herrington converted 73 F350 cc and thats what they did (except they used a Dana 70). Use the factory steering box and use a high steer arm on 60 and custom drag link. Big advantage is getting away from the high boy steering too. Mine has a divorced t/case but you could go with married if preffered. Wish I had the time (and money) to do mine.
Sorry should have been clearer, it's a cab/chassis regular cab but it's still very cool. I almost hated too, but I put a 12v Cummins in it also. Really love it. I'll try to post up some pics.
