Replace Driver's Seat
The driver's seat in my 1995 Explorer has fallen into the power works under it, and I need to get it replaced. I'm pretty sure I can find a seat in a local junk yard that will fit, but what kind of shop to I go to to have the work done? Upholstery? Body & fender?

If you are just doing a swap, its really not that hard. Just undo the 4 bolts and undo the wire harness under the seat and pull it out. Do reverse to put new one in. Now if you want to recover it, then a auto upholsterer is where to take it to.

For the power seat? That's all there is? What about the track, motors, etc?

The track and motor are attached to the underside of the seat. There are 4 bolts that hold the track down to the floor board. Remove those and disconnect the plugs and you can remove everything as a unit, much like how they install them at the factory. Then you can do what you want to the seat.
