Front engine mount removal

I'm looking at my 50 F3 engine mounts and wondering if they need to come out before putting in my 302. I hasve ordered the generic crossmember for mounting the new engine and I'm guessing they will just be in the way, but wanted to verify this before breaking out the grinder and cutting wheels. Thanks in advance..

I did a little reading on here back when I had the same question and verified that yes, they should come out, I hit the rivets with an angle grinder and they popped right out.

I'm in the same boat....looks like they will be some knuckle busters, or arm scalpers. And I was curious on how to get the rivets off

I used an air chisel and cut the heads off. Then took a punch and knocked them out.
