I installed my Warn Hubs just wondering where the vaccuum line is to plug?
I saw a picture of the Hubs vac sensor thing on the passengerside inner fender but mine looks different so i am unsure if thats it.
I did search but of course it never brings up anything near what i am searching for.
I plugged mine at the wheels, if you look on top of the unit bearing, you will see the line going up to the frame, I put a vacuum cap on each from an old carb kit I had for gassers, then put a screw in the one going back to the pump.
Trace the vacuum lines from the hubs to the passenger inner fender. Find where they attach to the vacuum switch. (The vacuum switch has a vacuum tube that attached to the vacuum canister.) Disconnect the switch to hub vacuum lines and put a vacuum cap on the switch. That's all you will need to do...
This will remove any possibility of the vacuum switch activating and pulling contamination into the vacuum canister when you select 4x4.
Here's where they come out of the engine compartment and to the wheel hubs. (The nipple above the brake hose in the center of the photo.) I bought a assortment plugs bag from the local autoparts store in the HELP section. I plugged them here and traced the hose to the hub and cut the hose short and used a drywall screw in the small piece of hose to complete the job.
Thanks for the help guys. When i checked before going out no one and answered me so i just played with it and what i did was unhooked the vac lines from the switch thing on the passengerside inner fender, put screws in both holes and then put vac plugs over the sensors holes. Then i put it into 4x4 and the defroster didn't turn on so i must have done it right.
