Ok the guys were driving in some traffic on surface streets. And the truck just died at a stop light. Engine cranks and will kinda start run like crap for 10 seconds then dies. I'm looking for ideas on problems that can cause this issue. I will read the codes tommarow morning with my insight cs and see what is has. I know for sure the wif light has been on for awhile. Drained it and didn't help can that cause a shutdown?
This is one of the 06's in our fleet. Not the truck in my sig. We have 5 04's includeing mine and 2 06's. To date accross those trucks we have had 1 oil cooler/egr cooler replaced. 4 injectors (all on one truck) , 1 FICM and 1 radiator. The boss has put me in charge of the whole fleet. So I guess I need to be a 6.0 genious from now on lol.
Thanks in advance
CAM CENSOR sounds like? I had a 7.3 that did that same exact thing would start run then die start run then die. could be water in the fuel good luck tomorrow.
I'm willing to bet a SLAB of prime rib it's not the CPS. They are virtually bullet proof on a 6.0 and very very very rarely fail (except for the o-ring), unlike the "bulletproof" 7.3's--LOL.
Hey guys just gearing up to drive into work now. My boss went out and started it. Its been idleing for over a 1/2hr now. Anyway ill read codes change fuel filters and report back.
+1 on the load test of the batteries. With as many electrical and low voltage codes as you first posted I'd check batteries and alternator before anything else. Hopefully the two FICM codes are from that and no permanent FICM damage occured.
My boss's 05 6.0 250 is having this same problem with the codes 0403, 0341, and 2617. Did you do anything in particular to get it running or did it just magically go away? Thanks. Chris
