89 f150 with the 4.9, since replacing the head ive noticed an excess of oil coming out of the air box from the vent tube leading over from the valve cover. quite concerned

 

That's most likely valve seals, try popping the breather tube from the air box to the oil resevore on top of the engine, if you see smoke coming out, that's a busted cylinder ring, my friend had the same thing on his 92 f150 300 i6.

Also replacing the head probally gave it some compression back and motor is worn so u gettin a lot of blowby

 

Ya, it's not too common in the i6, but it's a pain when it does happen.
