Update (not related to the original topic at all): I phoned the j/y and apparently they still have the axle in question. Hopefully it's all there...then again, his hours are very odd.
Mon-Fri-Sat. By chance or appt.
Tues-Wed-Thurs. 2-4pm
Closed Sun.
That being said, maybe I got lucky...time will tell.
