the only advice I can give you is that the 150 column is different than the 250 and 350 columns.

Thanks, that is one step closer.I was hoping that there would just be a couple of extra plugs for the auto and could use my covers.Mine has been loose for a long time it looks like.I thought the easiest and quickest to get it on the road would be a swap but seems everything is auto columns.
Maybe someone else has done this swap and will reply.
Thank You

Kris just did an auto to 5 speed swap. So I know you can run an auto column with a manual.

Might just be in every column and the plastic pieces are different.

As for the plastic pieces. I never did find a 'safe' way to remove them from my f150 column. The clips in there are pretty badass.

I don't have it apart completely due to the weather but it looks like it has damaged the aluminum as it has been this way a long time as it was a service truck on a farm with no one person looking after it.Truck will be work in progress for awhile.

gotta unbolt the shaft under the hood ... ... was that right?

No, i think there is a bolt under the dash. Having a hard time remembering.

4 bolts to bolt it to the bottom of the dash. they were 1/2 inch i believe. Use a deep well socket also.

I'll hve to get on the other comptuer and look at pictures.

oh, i do recall it attaching under the dash for the stearing shaft.

There is a u-joint under there, it attaches by that. So you'll at least be able to hide in the truck outa the wind.

No problem, that alot of help already.I just thought of it here that I am planing on switching my seat from my xlt so if I remove the seat and put a small heater in there it will give me alot of room to work.I will be on the dyno for the next couple of days so won't have time untill sunday to get at it and it looks like a little warmer weather coming.Got two months before race season begins for my boys but with needing to rebuild the front end etc it will be a fast two months.
thanks for your time.
