Almost finished. Taking a
Break to go get a torque wrench! Anything else before I close it all up? Also can I go ahead and crank it with the valve covers off to check for leaks?

You can start it with the valve covers off. Just hook up all the electrical stuff and map sensor/hose. I would double check all you injector/glow plugs connections and do a buzz test.

Ok guys it's running but I've got to tell ya, with my lpo gauge hooked up at idle it is reading 45 psi and if
I rev it at all it will peg my 60# gauge. Any thoughts now? I think I might be on to something! Bought to go for
A drive and I don't think I should
Leave the
Gauge hooked up cause it will just be pegged the whole time. What do y'all think?

Dang! You've been run through the grinder, the saw mill, the wringer, and I'm sure I don't know what all else.

Looking forward to hearing some good news from you soon!

Isn't it only supposed to be like 18PSI? Hmmm... think you might have high-pressure oil bleeding off into the low-pressure side of things? If so, then that would explain how the oil could go somewhere without it actually going anywhere. Now, the question is where could something like that happen?

Okay guys I'm driving and I guess I've put about 60 miles on it. Good news is it's running, bad news it's no different! But why should it, I took out good injectors and just reinstalled them! At idle my low pressure is down to 20psi at idle and pretty much at 45psi all the rest of the time. Also it never drops at anytime under wot on any of my tunes! So on to something else I suppose!

I would look at the check valve again. Is there a way to block the passage from the HPOP reservoir just to see if it drains overnight? If so, I would give it a try. If the reservoir does not drain with the passage blocked then your check valve is suspect.

Your idle pressure should be 12 psi and 24 at 1200 rpm with 45 at wot. Maybe a little higher with a brand new LPOP...so something isn't right with the oil system. Is there ANY chance that you are using a HPOP reservoir from an earlier style 7.3? (not sure that is even possible but could explain a few things...). Didn't the earlier style reservoir have some other method of feeding the LPOP oil or something along those lines.

(I wish I would have brought my laptop home so I could research this a bit more...)

I know it was asked before but I may have missed your response.. Were you able to check the tranny thru AE ? I remember watching your one video & your RPM's were really high, but the mph's just weren't picking up fast at all..

I don't know either guys! I did notice running 70 my icp
Was around 2100 and my dc was at 33% on stock tunes. Also to maintain 70 mph the accelerator pedal position is at 50.--, not sure if this means anything but maybe someone could tell me what their numbers are at that speed!

Trans doesn't seem to be slipping it just takes forever for my truck to build up enough speed to shift. You could tell me how to check the trans with the ae and I'll do it. I've
Felt a trans slip and it just doesn't feel like it. Frank was it slipping?

David, curious question...
When you replaced your HPOP, was the new one exactly like your old one?

First one no. But supposedly it was a 15 deg pump housing but all the guts were for my truck. The modded one I'm running now is
Identical to my stock one.
