Lifted v10 millage

What are you guys getting out of your lifted v10's. I have a 2005 3v. It's a crew cab short bed with 4:10's and 37 inch tires. I have and intake 87 five star tune and aftermarket muffler. It has plenty of power. Has any one changed gears and gotten more millage

2000 ex v10 on 44" boggers

I'm getting around 6.6 mpg......but it was winter here and i was letting it idle for 10 minutes in the morning because i couldn't reach the windshield to scrape it. Hopefully it will be a bit better in the summer

Those who have experimented and collected lots of data report that changing gears had negligible impact on mpg.

Unlike changing tire sizes! Bummer, but that's physics!

six inch lift, 35" FCII's 4:10 gears, 2v v10 13 highway 10 around town. I noticed i get better milage around town if i keep it above 40 mph. I also notice a big differnce with air pressure in the tires. The harder the better, and the life of my engine oil ( if its new or old) I can actually tell when its time to change the oil when my fuel economy goes down. I have driven this truck every day for 11 years. It's amazing how much the little things make a difference in the fuel economy.
