I had the same thing happen to me. i replaced all the pushrods and had a friend turn the motor over and the one that had broke was not moving. upon further invesitgation the lifter keeper broke and the lifter had popped out. Had to pull the head was not fun......
Oh man I didnt need to hear that!!!!!!!!!! Yes I did thanks now I know to look specifically for that. The mechanic did tell me to pull the glow plug and bump the starter to make sure its not liquilocked is what he called it. Thanks again I dont know that I would have looked for that in particular.
Well i got it all back together had my dad turn it over for me and no movement either. Looks like I'll be pulling the head now too. It also made a popping noise maybe it was when it hit on that cylinder. Thanks again for the heads up.
