My dad has degenerative arthritis in his lower back and knees and is having a really difficult time getting into his truck. He asked me the other day if I would research and install a 2" front 4" rear suspension drop. Can you guys please steer me in the right direction for a high quality complete kit. He loves his truck and I want to make sure he can enjoy it. Its a 2007 Crew Cab shortbox 4x4. Thanks guys!
I'm sorry to hear about your father's condition. My Grandfather suffered badly from arthritic joints and I can sympathize.
With that being said, lowering is a bit unfamiliar to me as my preferences are to go up! Here's a few things I found with a Google search:
This states that is is for a 2wd truck. Someone else will need to chime in as to the differences between the 2wd and 4wd setup and why the kit would ONLY be for a 2wd (maybe it's just that most people don't lower a 4wd. I'm not 100% sure, just thought I'd point it out): 2007 Ford F-150 Eibach Pro Kit Spring Set, Truck Lowering Kits, Eibach Springs
Thanks for the input. One of my friends suggested maybe using an air ride system to keep the ride height standard once he was in the truck but lowering it down for him to get in and out of it. I thought it was a good idea. I have never played with air bags but I really like the idea of keeping the standard ride height. My seventy year old dad doesn't really look like the lowrider type... Please give me any input you guys have.
