power @icp sensor ground ?

power @icp sensor ground ?

truck running good, threw 2285 code,sensor is new. checked power,none on red wire. but have power on ground side?????

Did the plug get replaced when the sensor was done. That is recomended when the icp is replaced.

no, but that looks like what im doimg tomorrow! but i unplugged the short harness that runs up the intake and put a test light to the truck side and there was power to that ground with key on,that is not a plug issue. im once again baffled by this truck!!!

I don't know what to say then, i know i did not do the pig tail when i did mine sprayed it with electric parts cleaner the org one had no problems. I do know my dealer wanted 74 bucks for the pig tail, i guess you know what i told them.

i sprayed mine with brake cleaner, thought i did good job? ill try it with electical cleaner before i cut it, just to say i did. but i dont know why imm getting power truck side when its not plugged in? its like its being fed in from somewhere else. but i cant find a wiring diagram to trace wires!

What year is your truck? On my 04 the BN/WT is the Vref source(pin 2), the GY/RD is sig return(-, pin 1), and DB/LG is the ICP signal(pin 3). Any of that make sense?

ICP is a three wire connector. IPR is a 2 wire connector. Either you're checking the wrong thing or you're missing a wire.

i never said it only had 2 wires, i know it has 3. i said the only place i am getting power is the black one.

In your first post you only referenced two wires and I just wanted to make sure there wasn't any confusion since you were still having a problem with a "new" switch.
