Pilot Bearing or bushing???

After another 20k, my ball bearing pilot had locked up and the inner race rode the shaft and messed up the end of it.

I no longer recommend that kind of bearing...

I cut my own oilite bronze bushing and that will be all I use from now on.

Here's my new bushing next to a wallowed out kevlar bushing that only lasted 10k miles.




BTW, the 6.0 pilot requires more than just machining the flywheel on a 7.3.
