Looking around for ways to finish my Sanderson SBF block-huggers, as they are bare metal now. Nearest place that does ceramic coatings is 75 miles away, so i was looking into do it yourself methods. I read some articles on doing it properly. But came to the conclusion that driving/shipping makes more sense than buying the needed equipment. Then i came across this: Dupli-Color® High-Heat Paint with Ceramic - Krylon Products Group
Has anybody had any experience with this product...is it comparable to a professional job (highly unlikely i know)?
Thanks all!
It's listed as AM&Sons in the phone book. 323-8400. Just don't look up the address on google maps. Bethel is one of those roads that is split into 12 parts and google will only bring up one of them. PM me your phone number and I can tell you how to get there.

If you just find yourself needing to go the "do-it-yourself" method I have had very good experience with Bill Hirsch engine enamles. I have not personally tried any of their exhaust coatings just engine paint.
I did it the easy way and ordered the headers from Sanderson already coated.
You can have it done professionally but, buyer beware. I had a set of motorcycle exhaust pipes (supposedly) ceramic powder coated here in OKC and the stuff flaked off after about 100 miles.
I just had my manifolds coated with Ceramchrome by Moore Power Coating. They came back and look like they were chromed. Beautiful!
They charged $135 to do the pair. I ended up getting my hood hinges, all the pulleys, and a couple of other things done. When you put it next to a chrome piece you can tell the difference, but it is very nice. I got a quote of $75 to chrome a pulley and this cost $30.
