Yeah, that was what I found going on as well, it was becoming to much like school. It needs to be fun, not a chore. I am hoping to get the items in the book done. But make sure there is a lot of laughter and activities..
When I was in Scouts, it was fun. I dont really remember if we had anything completed in the book or not. I am hoping to provide the same..
Yes thats a great goal... my Boy never went back but I am sure he would have IF it was more *fun* ...rather then them sitting and listening to the Guy up front for 2 + hrs.
I am sure you will do well, knowing that things have to change a little to keep them Kids involved & intersted.
Ours made Paper Planes one time I thought to myself " are you kidding me ?"
Its funny, but one of Christians favorite times was when they made paper planes.
Yesterday we blindfolded all of the kids, 7 of them, had them throw their shoes into a pile and made them look for their shoes.
We then talked Stranger Danger, then went into secrete codes. Next den meeting we are doing recycling, and most likely we will have races with blindfolds on, each counting on their team to give directions.
35 and raining in Kentucky. And I have to work outside on my Aunt's farm, fixing the gates and all the other stuff that goes wrong. I guess I'm back in the north!
Yup I love being a MOM, even when they were little...my Kids were all within 5 years.
I do miss them being little until other peoples kids act up then I am glad mine are all Teenagers
I am glad I did this when I was younger so now I can still enjoy my time *off* hahaha
