I have a 302 in my 1988 ford pickup. In the last two days I put a b&m shift kit on it and a msd ignition. Tonight while I was driving it it hesitated to take off at every stop sign I was at if I barely touched the throttle but it I gave it more it drove fine and you would never know it would not take off very well if only given a little gas. Any one have any ideas what this could be? It could be anything but I find it weird that it only started after a few modifications.

After you put the msd in it did you check your timing. If the timing is off it will cause a hesitation and smooth out as you increase throttle. Just something to check in to.

The more I thought about it and the more I drove it I decided there was a good chance it had something to do with the timing. I'm am glad to hear your input it makes me feel much better about my own thoughts. Thanks
