I just replace the hinges with newer ones from the junkyard. It's probably a little more work than changing just the pins, but I feel like they'll last longer & look better. You have to pull all the fasteners on the back edge of the fender to get access, but it makes the work really easy, and you'd have to do that anyway to align the door even if you only changed the pins.

just did the pins in my 95 f i50
bought the pins for 3 bucks top and bottom with new bushings
used a strap to hold the door up tied to the roof in the garage
cut the bottom pin first right in the middle
push half out the top and half out the bottom
pull bottom of the door out and put in the new bushings
slide the new pin in
put on the retainer clip
reapeat for the top
and im done
took me about 25 minutes to do both of them
if you have a little die grinder it makes it really easy to cut the old pins
i cut the pins because the factory ones are nurled over on the top and bottom of the hinge to keep them in place
i imagine you could just grind off the top and push it right through but i needed and excuse to utilize my new compressor and small air tools
