2011 accelerator problem
as opposed to having a truck accelerate without the driver's permission in DRIVE is perfectly safe and acceptable.
.... removing tounge from cheek ...
i agree, it's annoying. most of the fuel injected fords i've driven tend to do goofy things like this ... apparently it is just what they do.
While I do like many of the features of this truck all of the small problems are driving me crazy and I believe Ford rushed it to market before it was ready. Bad for us. For example, my transmission now slips between second and third every morning, when down shifting the engine surges to 1400 rpm as soon as it drops from second into 1st and thats just two issues.
When I press slighty on the accelerator just to get the truck moving and than let off the engine stays at the higher RPM typically just over a 1000. This only happens in drive not reverse and everytime I just slighty step on the accelerator. Any thoughts anyone? The truck only has 1K miles on it.
